A while ago I was nominated by Crushed Caramel for a ‘Liebster award‘. Still feeling like a total newbie in this blogging world, I am happy to be nominated!
Being nominated for one of these awards might not seem like a big deal, but it really gives me a boost. It feels great to know that there are people out there who are not only reading my posts, but really enjoy them and think of me when they get nominated themselves.
For those of you who haven’t checked out Crushed Caramel’s blog yet, be sure to have a look.
Liebster Award Rules
I have copied and pasted the rules outlined in other Liebster Award posts:
- Acknowledge the blog who nominated you.
- Answer the 11 questions your nominator asked.
115 other bloggers. (I changed it, 11 is just so much!)
- Ask them
115 questions. (I changed it, 11 is just so much!)
- Let them know you have nominated them
Crushed Caramel’s questions:
How many languages do you speak? And which languages?
I speak two languages on a level I consider fluent and another one fairly good.
My mother tongue is Dutch (or Flemish to be precise) and my English is pretty good if I may say so myself. I can express myself and have a normal conversation in French, but it is not as good as my English. I have some notion of German and can understand most of what is said to me, but am not able to hold a normal conversation.
Do you have a favourite tipple?
Being Belgian, beer is my go to drink. Otherwise I’ll go for a glass of red wine.
Did you have a favourite subject at school?
Not really, I didn’t really enjoy school to be honest. If I have to choose I’ll go for physical education.
Do you ever feel discouraged about blogging? What do you do to keep yourself motivated?
Not yet, I’m just starting out and feel like everything is new and exciting. Writing posts, tinkering with the website, keeping up with other bloggers is all so much fun! I might feel different in a couple of months when inspiration is drying up.
What is your own favourite post from your site or the one you would recommend readers check our first?
I personally like my post Why I started hiking. It is a bit more personal and the hike in Wales really was the start of my love for hiking.
Do you enjoy camping out in the great outdoors?
Yes, I love love love camping. We either take the tent or the campervan and try to head out as much as we can. I choose camping over any other form of travel to be honest.
Do you enjoy playing or watching sport. If so, which sport?
Definitely playing, growing up I did all kinds of sports: karate, swimming, hockey, snowboarding, wakeboarding, surfing, skateboarding,… I grew up loving sports and still try to stay as active as possible. At the moment I do a lot of hiking and love all sports that happen outside (think: running, rollerblading, cycling,…)
Do your friends know about your blog site?
My close friends do, but I haven’t made a big announcement about it. I won’t lie about it or try to hide it, but I haven’t felt the need to announce it.
What is your most embarrassing memory or experience?
Pfieuw that is a difficult one! I am not sure to be honest.
Will blogging ever be the same without the daily post provisions?
For me as a writer: yes, as a reader: no…
If you could have one perfect day – where would it be? Who would you be with? What would you eat?
A perfect day to me would be me, my boyfriend and Roxy going for a long hike with a big climb so that we get a great view at the end. After the hike we would come down to a beautiful campsite where a few of my close friends are camping as well. We would eat camping food (think bbq, pasta,…), drink a few beers and have a great night together.
If you have already been nominated for this award before or don’t have time to take it up. Do not you worry! This is just my way of saying, I like your blog and show appreciation for it.
