It has been a few years since I decided to do new year’s resolutions, but this year I needed a bit of a kick in the butt. So, I committed to a new year’s resolution. Yes, that’s right, one single resolution.
I committed to ‘have more fun‘ coming year. Not that I didn’t have any fun last year, but this year I really want to get the most out of my everyday life and look for small ways to simply have more fun.
Two weeks into the new year
With that resolution in mind I registered for skateboard lessons at my local skate shop. They advertised an all-girl class, for girlies (and ladies) from twelve years and up. I used to love snowboarding and surfing, but was always intimidated by the boys in the skate park, so never tried my hand at it. Seeing the ad I knew this would fit right in with my ‘have more fun’ resolution. I texted some friends and told them I was thinking about joining and to my surprise one of them had been wanting to go as well. We are now two weeks into our six weeks course and are loving it.
Next to that I also started a bouldering course together with the boyfriend. We were looking for a mutual hobby for a while and when the new climbing room opened up in our hometown we knew this could be a good fit. The first class was a success and lots of fun! Can’t wait for the next session.
That is not all, this morning we booked our tickets for the Fjällräven Classic 2019. This time my boyfriend is joining! I’m turning 30 this summer and I pleaded that it would be the perfect birthday present to be able to share this adventure with him. How about that for ‘fun’?!
This blog. For a while, I had so much fun writing and taking pictures and then suddenly the fun was gone and I stopped posting. With each week that passed without posting, it became easier and easier to ignore the little voice in my head telling me to write. But keeping my resolution in mind I plan to push myself to write again.
I feel like I am on a roll and hope I can keep this up throughout the year.
